Horse Cart Sightseeing Tour
The best way to explore Bagan is with a horse cart. There are thousands of Pagodas in Bagan and no guest can see them all unless you spend a month or more. Most guests come to Bagan from one to five days. In the short time, it is very important to see all the highlights and many temples that guests call “off the beaten path.” Being from here, many of guests have appreciated our ability to provide them a much more private experience. From a tour of our village to the main pagodas to the many less visited pagodas, I will be happy to tailor your trip to your request. Horsecarts move slowly, so you get to experience the pagodas, but also enjoy the scenery. The journey to the pagodas is as interesting as the pagodas themselves. All Horse Cart drivers in Bagan charge the same amount of money and we all very happy to send guests to each other if one is not available. Excursions in Air Conditioned Car
A few years ago, my brother Kyaw Swe handed over the reins of our family’s horse cart business to me and spent his savings in buying a very comfortable air conditioned Toyota. Kyaw Swe is available for hire for airport pick up and drop off service. Many guests take a one day trip to Mt. Popa, the home of the famous Taung Kalat monastery. Kyaw Swe will be glad to take you to Mt. Popa for a same day or overnight excursion. The Toyota is very comfortable and much more modern than many taxis in Yangon and Mandalay. The car is air conditioned, and Kyaw Swe is very knowledgeable about the history and culture of our Country. Kyaw Swe has been in the tourism industry since 1991.
Airport Pick Up and Drop-Off
When you arrive in the town of Nyaung U, you will need to travel 20-30 minutes to arrive at your hotel in Bagan. Many of our guests who book excursions also ask about airport pick up and drop off. We will be happy to pick you up at the airport and take you to your hotel. Please let us know your flight number and airline so we can check on your arrival and departure time for you.
